TIM faculty member Prof. Mika Westerlund and his work on living labs were featured in Carleton's ResearchWorks. The living labs initiative is part of an effort of Carleton University's continuing effort to makes its research relevant to the wider community.

Westerlund's interest is in open and user innovation with particular focus on living labs. The university benefits from the research as living labs allow it to forge closer ties with the community and organizations in the region.

This month's editorial theme is Open Source Sustainability. Guest editor Maha Shaikh, Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom, has assembled a diverse line up of authors to offer their perspectives on the sustainability and governance of open source software.

Arthur Low is the President of Crack Semiconductor and a graduate student in the Technology Innovation Management (TIM) program. In this video, he shares with us how to take an exciting business opportunity and leverage a business ecosystem to create a platform for wireless security.

The November edition of the TIM review has been published.

The Born Global issue of the TIM Review focuses on providing entrepreneurs with the knowledge, approaches, methods, and tools they need to globalize their startups early and rapidly.

This presentation will examine the successes, challenges, and lessons learned from building a global company anchored on open source software that emerged from Carleton University in 2008.

Gate reviews will be taking place on Jun 14 and 16, both 9:00am-4:00pm, in ME 4359. Anyone can attend. In the TIM program, every thesis goes through a gate review process. Presentations can be attended in person (ME 4359) or online.
